Koon Construction & Transport Co Pte Ltd was incorporated in 1979 as a general contractor involved largely in civil engineering projects in both private and public sectors. Types of works were mainly earthworks and drainage works. Most of the works were undertaken on sub-contracting basis.
Today, Koon has expanded its expertise to cover the whole spectrum of civil engineering works which include reclamation, environmental engineering and infrastructure. Among the projects that we had successfully completed are power stations, reservoirs, sewage treatment plants, causeway and ports.
Some of our more prominent clients are Jurong Town Corporation, Public Utilities Boards, Port of Singapore Authority and Land Transport Authority.
At the moment, we are registered under financial grade A1 in the Civil Engineering (CW02) Category, B1 in the General Building (CW01), L1 in the Cable/Pipe Laying & Road Reinstatement (CR07) Category and L5 in Piling (CR08) Category.
To boost our competitiveness, we are building up our in-house design capabilities. Besides enabling us to participate in design and build projects, it enables us to offer alternatives that could enhance our bids.
In the year 2002, we moved into the new four-storey Koon Building with a gross floor area of 3,200 sq meters at 17B Pandan Road which has a land area of 1.4 hectares and a 100m long waterfront.
